Exus Shutters would like to share some good news with our customers.
As you are all aware, many cities and ports in China have been closed due to government Covid lockdown. The Exus Shutters factory has not experienced a shut down and are working very hard to keep product moving. The largest port in the world is the port of Shanghai. This is the port where we would customarily ship most of our product. It has effectively been shut down for two months as the entire city of Shanghai has been shut down. There are some signs the lockdown is beginning to ease, but it remains to be seen how soon conditions at the port will return to normal.
This has caused delays for Exus and all other importers of Chinese product. Fortunately, this is not the only port we use. Therefore, our delays have not been nearly as devastating as for some of our competitors. We have been able to establish solid trucking lines and solid shipping commitments with our ocean freight partners through a complex method of routing.
Right now our customers can feel assured that orders are being shipped out as fast as possible, but there may be a delay until the factory is able to catch up and get our warehouse full of finished shutters in containers and shipped out.
During the last two weeks, our factory has shipped multiple containers out headed to the U.S. and the backlog of finished product ready to ship has diminished.
We understand that there may be frustration, but please understand that we are working to get orders back on track. We remain in full production and we continue to ship product every week.
