Price Changes Ahead

Dear Valued Exus Shutters Customers

At Exus Shutters we do everything that we can to keep our prices as low as possible and still provide the very best in quality, service, and delivery. 

We have absorbed most of the increases that we've faced over the past two years, with only minimal pricing changes. This year will mark the first increase of any significance that we have had to share.

The prices from our ocean freight carriers this year are shocking. For the first time in Exus history, they have refused any type of pricing negotiation or concessions, and seem unified in their price increases. We're hearing similar stories and rates from importers large and small across the country. The size of the customer seems to make no difference.

This is truly unprecedented in what has already been a very challenging two years for all importers, distributors, and dealers of products across the globe. There had always been room for pricing negotiation, give-and-take, akin to purchasing a new car or home in years past. That has all disappeared, replaced by freight carriers' take-it-or-leave-it attitude. 

Additionally, fuel prices in the U.S. have caused all of the local and over-the-road LTL freight companies to raise their prices to all customers. We will absorb most of this as we hope it is temporary, but a small LTL freight increase for any customer or location that we ship product to will be necessary. 

The Changes are below:

1. All shutters will be priced using the “tip to tip” measurements including the frame in the calculations of the square footage of the shutter. This is not any different than the current method used for all “outside mount” shutters, but will affect the square footage on all Z frame shutters. Where the frame used to be free, we will now charge for the slight additional square footage added for the overlap of the frame.
2. The price per square foot on all shutters will increase. This increase will be under 5%. Your salesperson will send out a current price list as soon as it is available.
3. Hidden Tilt – There will be a fee for the hidden tilt option on most shutters. Your sales person can give you specifics. 
4. The “freight fee” that we charge for shipping will increase by approximately 10%. This change will apply to all customers outside of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.     

Your Exus Shutters sales person will be sending out new pricing sheets with these changes outlined in the very near future. These changes will be in effect for all orders placed on and after Monday, April 18th. Pricing on quotes that have been requested or entered prior to this date will not be honored. The only way to secure the pricing on a quote is to convert it to an order by placing the order and/or authorizing the deposit payment to be made prior to this date.

We will continue to monitor our costs regularly. If there is a return to normal or close to normal in this, we will adjust our pricing accordingly. For now, we hope that you understand and we want you to know that we appreciate each of you and the business that you entrust with us.
