Exus Shutters New for 2020

Exus Shutters would like to thank each of you for making 2019 a record year for us. We look forward to a tremendous 2020 with all of your familiar faces and the many new ones yet to come. We have a few things to announce to conclude 2019 and to look forward to in 2020, including new products, pricing changes, and the final word on tariffs.

New Products

During 2020, we will be introducing some new products and additions to our already extensive lines. We think these exciting new items will become a part of what keeps you ahead of your competition. These additions are designed to help you earn market share and profitability. You'll receive emails about them as we get closer to launching them, and remember to bookmark and check the newsfeed on our website often.   

No Tariffs on Wood Shutters

We cannot tell you how happy we are to announce that there will be no tariffs on wood shutters. Thankfully, the U.S. and Chinese Governments were able to achieve a trade agreement before these were slated to be imposed in December. 

Pricing

As a part of our normal business, we are sometimes required to review and analyze the costs of materials, labor, and shipping in our business. We are equally pleased to announce that the price increases that we will impose this year are very modest:

Freight Charges

1. Freight charges will be increased by a small amount in limited markets. You will receive a specific notice if your location will receive this increase in freight. Any increase is due entirely on costs of freight increasing to Exus. We will absorb much of this, but will be required to pass some along to you in specific locations.
2. The minimum fee that we charge for freight to be shipped is currently $100. This amount will increase to $125 for all customers for 2020.

The above freight changes will be imposed beginning January 25^th, 2020.

Product Charges

1. Exus will impose an increase of 4% across all product lines. This is necessary as the cost of logistics including ocean freight, rail, and local trucking required to transport ocean containers from China to the U.S. continues to rise. We will experience several cost increases this upcoming year, but will only pass along the small increase of 4%. 

The price changes above will be effective beginning January 25^th, 2020. Your salesperson will be sending complete new price lists in the upcoming days. Please use these and discard any old price lists you may have.
